So I have this friend in Oz... A friend from school days... pimply teenagers that we were and gangly and awkward and now well, more mature and just as fucked up... But he's rock solid... And we ramble on to each in long emails... the odd phonecall here and there that I treasure...

Swap music...

And support each other, him in my writing and me in his music...

And he wrote this for me in yet another rambling email...

And well, I haven't edited it.

It's too pure and honest and brimming with friendship for an edit...

So take it away! I hand the floor over to my dear friend, Brent!

Brett's advice to any potential suitor...

Keep a bright red door, owls and owl pendants buy a French window install it do what you must I sat in one once and cannot forget it, her favourite colour is sea foam green, not allergic to oysters check, have time pieces, if you don’t, buy some run to an antique store today ,dusty pink room...fluorescent lights get rid of ask the axis…always talk about snakes before bed according to dream interpretation book she read it will increase the chances of morning…. loves all insects except spiders…do not ask if she knows what day of the week it is , unless you want to hear her laugh, I think I might, keep a picnic blanket and silver beakers, ask her to nap , or don’t, just sit with her and inhale the gloaming, then the stars, feed her…sneak slivers of medium rare beef in her, maybe with some beer she loves beer. Do not make her cry , she can do that by herself If she prays for rain and it does not rain, it’s probably your fault... If still let her be. if not let her be. But please carefully get back everything she may give away she will thank you later. She will take care of the music , all you have to do is take of her. Be prepared and bold as love. Note stops there.

And sometimes in life when you are feeling invisible, it takes small act of kindness from a very generous soul I am honoured to call friend, to feel seen... And then it means the world!
